Should underwater structures be listed also? Things you can build under the water include underwater metal extractors, and you can build nuclear power stations as well using the construction submarine. Or just have all of that as a different category? I'm thinking all underwater stuff could be together. Could call it Underwater Units and Structures, but I think just units is fine, no sense to have long names. Or Underwater Structures could be a subcategory perhaps. Opinions please. Every buildable thing in TA is a unit, hence UnitUniverse. Structures, towers, Kbots, Nuke Launchers, etc. are all units.

What about the seaplanes? They can also land into water. Should they be listed as "amphibious" or "underwater", or both? I know most of them don't have much practical use, but still. MaxGold (talk) 17:29, July 29, 2012 (UTC)

The thing is, they don't function underwater as they rise above it and THEN fly/attack. Then again, Seaplanes category anyone?

They can submerge themselves underwater though. They hide underwater from radar don't they? Dream Focus 18:53, July 29, 2012 (UTC)
I thought underwater units were units that functioned in water, and seaplanes cannot fly underwater - they just land in it. Any unit that goes underwater is hidden from radar, hence the invention of sonar.

Personally, I'd say they belong to "Aircraft" and "Underwater" category. Sure, when underwater they only sit there, but what else-other than the Commander and the subs-actually does something besides moving while underwater? They would need to get out of water to do battle. And, actually seaplanes CAN move while remaining underwater as well, you just need to tell them to stop before they resurface, wait for them to sink down to the bottom and then tell them to move again. This takes time and patience though. MaxGold (talk) 20:42, July 29, 2012 (UTC)

I believe the Crock and the Triton were supposed to have depth charges, but yeah. The more I hear/read about this, the more sense it makes TBH. There are 8 seaplanes in total, with 4 for each side. To fill the Seaplane Platforms, Cavedog used other aircraft from different tiers. The Freedom Fighter and the Lancet in the same plant? Shouldn't it've been the Hawk? Where are the seaplane bombers?! Why are the unitpics so bad?! CAAAAVEDOOOOG!!!
