The Phoenix is a level 2 bomber aircraft; while being an upgraded version of the Thunder in terms of bombing capability and armor, it also enjoys the addition of a secondary weapon: an anti-fighter laser that allows these bombers to defend themselves from enemy air units in larger groups, and although the damage of this weapon against ground units and structures is low, Phoenix will sometimes be able to finish off nearly-dead units without a need for another bomb raid. The CORE counterpart is the Hurricane.
