A Ship is a type of unit available to both the CORE and ARM factions that is limited to water masses; the CORE use patterning to produce ships that operate using some form of large artificial intelligence module, while the ARM use clones as crew members to operate their ships.
Ships are heavily armoured units that are capable of taking serious punishment from the majority of ground units while at the same time being able to fight back with weapons powerful enough to easily dispatch most of them; ships also deal significant damage to towers that would otherwise take little damage from other units, though they still have to be wary of being retaliated against by some of the more ranged and damaging towers. Because of the aforementioned strength and resilience of ships, they have increased build costs and take longer to build compared to other unit types of the same tech level, to the extent that full-scale naval warfare requires an expansive metal economy.
In order to build ships, a Shipyard must first be built.
